You’ll need to meet the prerequisites for your chosen discipline, such as minimum RYA course levels, logged experience, or holding an RYA First Aid certificate. Some courses also require a pre-entry assessment.
Yes. Some instructor courses, such as Assistant Instructor and Paddlesport Instructor, are open to those aged 14 and over. Senior-level and advanced instructor courses may have higher age or experience requirements.
No. All essential equipment, including boats and boards, is provided. You’ll just need to bring suitable clothing and personal items for the conditions. A full kit list will be provided before your course begins.
