RYA Safe and Fun (Online Course)

Planning to become an RYA instructor? Before you take part in practical training, you’ll need to complete the Safe and Fun safeguarding course. This short, online module builds your awareness of child protection and teaches you how to respond to concerns confidently and correctly.

The course guides you through real-world scenarios and introduces you to key safeguarding principles used across sailing clubs and centres. You’ll gain the tools you need to recognise risks, report concerns, and contribute to a safe environment for everyone on the water.

Because it’s entirely online and self-paced, you can fit it in around your schedule, making it easy to get started on your instructor journey.
