RYA First Aid 1-Day Course
Whether you’re an instructor, day skipper or a regular watersports participant, first aid knowledge is essential for your safety and the safety of others. This RYA-recognised 1-day course provides the vital skills you need to respond confidently in emergency situations on or near the water.
The course is specifically tailored to small craft users and includes CPR, cold water shock, hypothermia, bleeding, drowning and medical emergencies at sea. It also meets the requirements for professional instructor qualifications and commercial endorsements. Delivered by our experienced team at Farmoor Reservoir, the training is practical, engaging and fully accredited.
By the end of the day, you’ll hold a valid RYA First Aid certificate, valid for three years. This course is suitable for those aged 16 and above.

What You’ll Learn
- Emergency procedures for water-based environments
- CPR and use of defibrillators
- Hypothermia awareness and cold water shock
- Bleeding, burns and fractures
